Gal Sal Mural

My Gal Sal is a very old folk song, about the mules that pulled the boats along NY’s famous (and now extinct) Erie Canal. But evidences and depictions of the old Canal still linger in Upstate NY. This is a lovely mural painted– of all places– on the wall of a gas station east of Fayetteville, NY.
