I Love My Husband

4 May

watertank

That’s the old hot water heater. It’s dead. You can see the waterline from the flooding, and the motor oil that spilled into the water.

We were two days without hot water, which wasn’t a big deal. I was actually sweating out how we were going to get a plumber over here so quickly to install our new tank…. I wasn’t even sure I could locate his rack card printing card phone number! It was a Friday morning and the house and yard were all mud and and I didn’t think he’d be able to come until Monday or Tuesday. FIVE DAYS without hot water?! No way. We were a muddy mess from the cleanup and needed showers.

So the husband installed the water tank!!!!! Can you believe it?! He did the gas line and everything! Oh I love him!!

I just wish it would STOP raining. For a LONG time.

Heritage Center Plaque

Wesleyan Sign

We were speed-walking down Seneca Falls, NY, trying to cram in as many sights as we could before making our way home that day. I spotted this plaque (I’m a sucker for plaques) and snapped a photo quickly. I didn’t have any time to read it. :(

Next time I travel, I think I will only pick ONE thing to do. Then I can fool around and take my time with the rest of the day. I don’t like a rushed itinerary.

I’m Going to Geneva!

Yippeee! I’ll be on the road again next month, briefly. I’m going to take a short trip to Geneva, NY. It’s been such a long time since I’ve been there. Congratulate me, dear friend! Where are the cigar deals, I’ll pass out some cigars in celebration, haha! (Where did that custom come from, anyway??)

Seriously, I’ll be reviewing a winery and a bed & breakfast resort. So it’s *ahem* all business, you see. Unfortunately, the rest of the family will miss out. I hope to schedule something for us all when the weather breaks in spring. We did not traveling last year, and the kids sure deserve a vacation.
