Summer Winter, White Lake, NY

These two photos are pf the same lake– White Lake– in White Lake, NY. It’s a small town on Route 28 with some very nice views. I took the first photo two years ago, one summer; the second photo I took just last week. Boy, the wind whipped up right off that lake; it was brutal trying to stand there and snap a photo. The snow banks were quite high, and I had to slog through snow to get to the photo.

The lake is quite frozen. Snowmobile tracks covered the surface of the lake like a Plano cosmetic dentist had zipped over it with his tools. It gives me the shivers to think about that freezing cold wind! It seared through my coat and whipped my hair around, whew. COLD. I can’t wait until spring again.
