Windmills of Fenner, NY

This is one of a dozen windmills that were constructed on a farmer’s field in Madison County, Fenner, NY. We drove by one steamy summer afternoon in 2007.

I drove that way again recently, and saw new clusters of windmills scattered all across the hills. They loom elegantly over the scrubby forests and cultivated lowlands.
